Apply by 2/27/26 to Participate on The Sustainability Planning Team

The City of Appleton is seeking Planning Team members to help develop a Sustainability and Resilience Master Plan for the community.  The City has engaged a sustainability planning consultant, paleBLUEdot LLC, who will work collaboratively with the City and the Planning team. The City is looking for team applicants who can represent the general public, small and large businesses, associations, and non-profit agencies.

Sustainability and Resilience Master Plan (SRMP) Team members will work collaboratively to co-create the City’s plan by exploring, creating, reviewing, refining, and supporting the prioritization of actions to achieve the City’s sustainability goals. The SRMP Team is anticipated to include City staff members, representatives of other public agencies, and consultant team members. The City seeks to also include community members in this collaborative planning team. 

The planning team will work together through a series of 4 workshop meetings expected to begin April 2026 and continue through August 2026. Team members will also be asked to complete tasks between workshop sessions. The total time commitment including meetings and tasks between meetings is estimated to be approximately 3 to 5 hours per month.
